Premium Digital Scans

Originals are scanned to file, color-corrected, and saved in an appropriate color space.

In-House scans are discounted and used by Dodge Color in the production of your job.

Scan-to-CD or DVD files are written to disk media for customer use. These scans are reviewed by our technicians and adjusted as necessary for optimal color and tonal-range reproduction.

When RIPped by Dodge Color, 150ppi (pixels-per-inch) scans are suitable for imaging high-quality digital photographic prints and inkjet media. 300ppi scans are often used for giclée inkjet printing. Higher resolution drum scans (exceeding 1,000ppi) are offered for applications such as imaging digital LVT transparencies.

Scan-to-disk services

Specially-priced, scan-to-disk services are offered 'at time of processing' for customers who want images written to CD or DVD media as well as (or instead of) 4x6-inch digital proof prints. We use a Kodak HR500-plus film scanner for this purpose. Our standard base RGB scan file from 35mm - 120 roll film images is 11.25 MB each. HR500 scans are available at resolutions up to 72 MB, making the files appropriate for most applications. With Digital ICE™ (automatic base-side dirt and scratch removal), the HR-500 offers an extraordinary value-added service to our customers.
